Celtic fired ominous RB Leipzig Champions League warning as Timo Werner and co find shooting boots in Bundesliga rout

RB LEIPZIG fired an ominous warning to Celtic ahead of their midweek Champions League clash in Germany - by rattling four goals past Bochum.

Leipzig boss Marco Rose had been speaking only this week about how he expected a goal return out of strikers such as Timo Werner.

Well, Germany international Werner took his advice to heart as he bagged two goals yesterday, with dangerous Frenchamn Chrisoph Nkunku also bagging two in a 4-0 Bundesliga win.

Werner opened the scoring after quarter of an hour, before a Nkunku penalty extended Leipzig's lead.

The former Chelsea star made it a 3-0 lead eight minutes into the second period before Nkunku rounded off the rout.

The scale of the win allowed Leipzig to rest Werner before the end of the clash after his international exertions with the German international side.

It's only mid-table Leipzig's third win of the league season - and it couldn't come at a better time as they bid to kick start their Champions League campaign.

So far Leipzig, are pointless at the bottom of Champions League Group F, with the Hoops just one ahead of them courtesy of their draw against Shakhtar Donetsk.

It's all up for grabs, then, going into the back-to-back clashes between the two sides.

But he and the rest of Leipzig's stellar talent couldn't stop Rangers knocking them out of the Europa League.

And Celtic will hope to pile on the misery against them this midweek.
